The New Pantheon series takes place on our own world. However, Earth is only one of eight different worlds. Furthermore each world is surrounded by eight magical realms, though which realms surround each world differ. Different worlds share realms; for instance, Earth and the giants' world of Yothrun shares the Demon Realm, Primal Realm, Animal Realm, and Spirit Realm.
Each of the eight worlds has its own ecosystem and native life. Beings grow, age, and die, though the exact nature of that life varies from world to world. Each world mixes elements from the realms surrounding it (and a little from the other realms), giving each world its own characteristics.
Realms, on the other hand, adhere to particular concepts. There are sixteen realms in all; each realm borders on four different worlds.
Souls of dead beings migrate to a realm after death, though they rarely rememver their mortal life. Eventually, those souls will reincarnate, but otherwise do not age. If killed by accident or malice, the beings will reincarnate as the same being, though not right away.
In Adversaries, Faisal realizes the worlds and realms are arranged in a hypercube (or tesseract). The worlds occupy the cells of the hypercube, while the realms correspond to the vertices of the hypercube.
It's our world, so everyone readling this should be familiar with it. However, the Earth of the New Pantheon also has a critical element hidden to mortals and most immortals: the Fountain of Souls. This is the source of all souls, and its presence has allowed humanity to populate the entire planet. Other worlds generally have a much lower population.

A world inhabited by ethereal beings, though little else has been revealed about it. Stay tuned for the next book!
A savage world dominated by chimeras. Most beasts on Deigantu have multiple heads and mismatched body parts. Even the plant life attempts to devour other beings.
Intelligent chimeras of all different shapes rule Deigantu in a vicious struggle for power. Thyr-Shae-Dahl, for instance, controls a large territory with the help of his eight wives. Only a few immortal chimeras survive on Deigantu.

The world of the faeries.
Pockets of variable time flow through Flussora, and can trap the unaware in pockets where time flows faster or slower. A traveler might age a hundred years in a day, or spend decades in a pocket and only believe minutes have passed. The faeries have a sense that allows them to avoid the danger, and many faeries gifted with immortality can manipulate the flow of time.
The faeries themselves blend the traditional tiny winged girls with social insects, both in their appearance and society. Each faerie has antennae, an exoskeleton, and other insectoid features. Queens rule over the hives, supported by larger drones in the same fashion as a queen bee. When a (non-immortal) faerie reaches a certain age, they metamorphose into a wingless, larger form resembling a two-foot-tall older man with insectoid features - resembling the brownies of folklore.
Surrounding Realms: Animal, Astral, Heaven, Kuzherit, Mana, Mind, Spirit, Time
A dangerous world inhabited by vast colonies of viral creatures - hordes of semi-organic nanomachines capable of transforming both organic matter and minerals. No one has discovered sapience on the world, though immortal visitors haven't made much effort to find it.
The giants' homeworld is a rugged, primitive land. Aside from giants and some animals resembling terrestrial fauna, Yothrun also is home to immense monocellular creatures like zensek.
The giants live in clans, usually around one of the few remaining immortal giants. Each immortal giant tries to have as many offspring as possible, increasing the chance of passing on their immortality. Giant culture and population is in slow decline, and most blame humans, who they remember as devious tricksters from long ago.

Mentioned by Thyr-Shae-Dahl in Adversaries, though when Mike started to feign knowledge of it, Miss Olsen shut him down. Is there a deeper reason for her caution?
Most of the realms have features that resemble the same features of Earth. For instance, the teens' school appears in different forms in many of the adjacent realms. Features of the other adjacent worlds also appear in the realm.
The Animal Realm is home to intelligent animals of all types, living in a natural balance. The teens' school appears as a grove of tall trees with a thick, multilayered canopy.
For immortals, the Animal Realm can grant animal forms. Inhabitants include any type of animal.
Unlike most realms, the Astral Realm is a featureless void. Colorful ribbons and motes of energy drift through the realm. The Astral Realm is one of the most hazardous realms, as a distracted visitor can lose their body cohesion, stretching into a new energy stream. The cover of Conundrums depicts the Astral Realm
The Astral Realm grants enhanced perceptions of different types. It is also the source of the common talent to understand any language. It has no inhabitants.
A horrific, frightening realm where demons of all shapes and sizes struggle for dominance. Entropy is enhanced in the Demon Realm, and everything is decaying. While it isn't specifically a realm of evil, the transience of everything prevents any lasting society from forming in this hellish dimension.
Immortals gain different abilities from the Demon Realm. MacKenzie in particular draws on this realm frequently, manifesting a terror aura and a more demonic form.
A gloomy netherworld where everything is decaying, not from entropy, but from the burden of want. Denizens of the Ghost Realm all obsess over something they lacked in their mortal life, though they do not remember it. Ravenous ghouls seek to satiate their eternal hunger, vampires long for the warmth of a family, wights seek freedom from their chains.
Immortals can gain abilities mirroring the denizens of the realm, or the ability to shift into their forms.
Inhabitants include ghosts, calacas, vampires, ghouls, banshees, wights, succubi, and similar creatures.
The opposite of the Demon Realm, the Heaven Realm has almost no entropy. Parks remain perfect and pristine, buildings gleam, and everyone contributes to the society. The realm is inhabited by angels of different types, as well as other celestial beings such as pegasi.
Of the New Pantheon teens, only Jason has learned to channel power from the Heaven Realm, growing wings. He can also subtly influence people around him to work together.
Also known as the Elemental Realm, the Primal Realm is home to elementals of various types. These include not just the traditional four elements of earth, air, fire, and water, but also lightning, metal, cold, light, darkness, etc.
Immortals channeling the talents of the Primal Realm typically have an elemental transformation or manipulate a particular element around them.
Inhabitants include intelligent elementals of each element. Sylphs (air), gnomes (earth), undines (water), boltlings (lightning) have been mentioned, and the teens have also encountered elementals of glass, fire, metal, even plastic. Non-sentient elemental beings also exist, such as shock hounds.
A vibrant realm where everything is more intense. Spirits of different things inhabit the realm, exemplifying the emotions and feelings they spark on Earth. For instance, the teens meet the avatar of their school's pride, which appears as the school mascot.
A realm resembling a cross between popular depictions of cyberspace and a futuristic cityscape. The teens have not explored this realm yet (wait for the fourth book!)
